Essentials of Dry Needling Certification

Speaker: Alex Earl, DC

Saturday, 8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.

Sunday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

This innovative dry needling program of study teaches the insertion of solid filament needles into neuromuscular junctions/motor points, stimulating the muscle, and facilitating a change inside the neuromuscular system in order to utilize the muscle for its full functional purpose. This course is not a "one trick pony," wherein dry needling is glorified. Rather, this course delivers on "the good, the bad, and the ugly" truths regarding this popular treatment option.

Attendees will learn:

  • What dry needling does (and doesn't)
  • How to incorporate dry needling into your private practice
  • When to incorporate dry needling (via a clinical reasoning process)
  • Why it matters to know "the good, the bad and the ugly" about dry needling
  • Attendees will leave the course with peace of mind knowing who should be considered an appropriate candidate for needling, how to confidently insert needles into a human being, and how to competently do so clinically

Course Outline

  • Pre-Course Online Video (4.0 hours)
  • Clean Needling Technique (CNT) 7th Edition
  • Discuss universal precautions to protect against transmission of disease and infection control
  • Practical demonstration of Clean Needle Technique protocols
